Born in 1967 in Yangon, Myanmar (former Burma), Nay Myo Say is considered one of Myanmar’s foremost artists, who is particularly admired for his versatile skills.
A medical doctor by training, Nay Myo Say has acquired his artistic skills with U Lun Gywe, one of Myanmar’s leading impressionists. Over time his style of paintings has shifted to include both contemporary and abstract features. He subtly integrates traditional Buddhist and Burmese symbols with modern elements, and selectively applies bright colors to emphasize important points related to the underling theme. As such, his artwork may be a reflection of his home country, where any criticism – if at all - can only be expressed with utmost care and subtlety.
Apart from being a prolific artist, Nay Myo Say is also a successful vocalist, song writer, designer and business man. Find out more about the artist and his activities at http://www.naymyosay.com/
The majority of Nay Myo Say’s artwork is displayed at Anawmar Gallery in Yangon.
