Dennapa Sodsai was born in Lampang, Northern Thailand, in 1980. She received her arts education of the Fine Art College in Chiang Mai.
Dennapa’s main theme in paintings is Thai culture and cultural beliefs, as well as Buddhism-related motives, such as religious figures and fables, Buddha images and temples. She likes to combine these classic themes with other features, such as natural or creative elements, that actually enhance the underlying picture’s strength. Dennap is skilled in different kinds of painting techniques, such as watercolor, oil, acrylic or Thai sketching. Her favorite technique, though, applied in the majority of her artwork is acrylic on canvas.
Most of Dennapa’s works are displayed at her own gallery in Chiang Mai, the Art & Design Gallery, where she can be found every day either doing her own artwork, or teaching painting techniques to children and other interested people.
