Portrait of Thai artist Wanna Khumsombat

Wanna Khumsombat is a young ambitious artist from Phitsanulok in the Northern Province of Thailand.

Having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Chiang Mai University, she has developed her very own unique style of paintings. She specializes in brightly colored prints using a technique practiced only in Thailand. Her images portray strong human emotions, sometimes in contradiction to the surroundings. Once she has printed a series of her artwork, she sets aside the plates as she wants her works to remain unique.
For inspiration she often goes to the mountains with her sketchpad and her keen observation, and takes her time to relax and absorb the calming atmosphere letting her ideas and feelings flow easily.

A selection of Wanna’s works is exhibited at La Luna Gallery.
