Artist of the cover picture:

Therdkiat Wangwatcharakul
Therdkiat Wangwarcharakul was born in 1971 and graduated with a Master Degree in painting from Silapakorn University in 2003. He paints with oil on aluminum sheets, and the unusual use of this material contributes to creating a somewhat rustic or deprived atmosphere to his works. His paintings often focus on life as a constant struggle for poor people in the city.
No objects are in the settings - leftovers from the middle class are being recycled and the stray dogs become devoted companions. The use of aluminum sheets as a medium, which is a material that is recycled by garbage collectors in the city, contributes to a kind of real-life experience to his paintings.
A selection of Therdkiat’s works are exhibited at La Luna Gallery.

Chatchawan Nilsakul
Chatchawan Nilsakul was born in Ayudhya and received his Bachelor’s degree from the Fine Arts Department at Chiang Mai University. He then spent a number of years in the USA where he completed Master’s degree at the University of Oregon at Eugene.
It was mainly during his years in the USA and a few stints in Japan when Chatchawan developed his very own style of paintings. He uses mixed media for his paintings and usually applies bright colors. Corresponding to his lifestyle, he does not want to be bound by borders and norms. As such, he does not like to use frames for his pictures, and he likes open space for his images, such as paintings on walls which he will erase just after completing them. He is also drawn to unclear digital images, which is reflected in many of his paintings appearing to be digitally distorted.
Chatchawan exhibits his works in his own gallery – Ji--Qoo Gallery – which he opened more than a year ago together with his Japanese wife on trendy Nimmanhemin Road.
